Hello my name is Kathy Carr Kracht and I am from Greenup, Illinois.  I do not live in Greenup anymore but visit there fairly frequently.  I grew up north of Greenup and attended grade school in the old Greenup School until the new school was built.  I graduated from Cumberland High School in 1973 and attended Lakeland Community college until I married in 1974. 

I spent the next 10 years as an active duty Air Force wife and lived in Las Vegas, NV, Northern Germany and New Mexico.  Then we went to his home in Iowa and I became a So-Fro Fabric store manager.  We divorced in 1986 and I transferred to Decatur, Il.  I worked for So-fro Fabrics in Decatur and Champaign until I remarried.  I stayed at home for several years and raised a family.  A few years ago I went back to college and finished my degree and I now am a Computer instructor at Northwest Christian Campus here in Decatur.  My husband and I are active in the Marine Corps League and the American Legion.  I am currently the president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 105 and the Decatur Unit of the Marine Corps League.

We have a 5 1/2 month old Boston terrier. Her name is Emmy.
